Missionary Andrew in Nampa, Idaho

Well, it's been a while since I've posted on here.  I'm trying to figure out what to do with all my sites and how to maintain the bigger ones.  :)  I've neglected this one but...today will post about my son, Andrew, who is serving in the Idaho, Nampa Mission.

He loves it.  He loves the people and the area and his companions and all he is learning. Yes, it's hard work and yes, they tire sometimes.  But, they press on with their daily studies, prayers, work, visits and teaching people the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Their goal is to bless, uplift and strengthen and bring souls unto Christ.

Missionaries have a Preparation Day on Mondays, 'p-day' as they call it, to do laundry, shop for groceries, write home to their families, and get some miscellaneous things done that are needful for the rest of the week.

I LOVE his letters home.  They inspire me, teach me and....help me to know more about what a good person he is.  He has opened his heart more as he's served and it's sometimes 'blown us away' (as my daughter said) to see his growth as he forgets himself and seeks to serve and love others.   Oh, what a gift it is to be in the service of the Lord (which all of us can do in different ways during our different seasons of life).

Anyway, here are a few photos from their past few weeks.  Mostly photos are taken on p-days so they don't always reflect the rest of their 'normal' week.

I'm documenting this for him so.....you may or may not want to see.  :)

They helped a gal change her tire (this is a message from member who told them she was in need)
