The Holy Temple

I love the Holy Temple.  It's a place of peace and instruction for me.  There is no where else on earth where I feel closer to Heaven and my Heavenly Father than when I am in the Temple.  I am so extremely grateful that he desires to teach and bless and strengthen us.  His Spirit is with us when we are striving to keep his commandments and remain close to Him.

All About Preparedness

I have a blog called All About Preparedness - where I share powerful messages from church leaders concerning the Last Days, The Second Coming, Temporal and Spiritual Preparedness etc.  I invite you to join me there and read about some of the prophecies of our time period.

"Too often we bask in our comfortable complacency and rationalize that the ravages of war, economic disaster, famine, and earthquake cannot happen here. Those who believe this are either not acquainted with the revelations of the Lord, or they do not believe them. Those who smugly think these calamities will not happen, that they somehow will be set aside because of the righteousness of the Saints, are deceived and will rue that day they harbored such a delusion". --- Pres. Ezra Taft Benson, Prepare for the Days of Tribulation

No pain or trial is wasted...

This is one of my favorite quotes of all time.  It's helped me through a lot of hard times.  One of my brothers reminded me of it recently so I decided to post it so that all may benefit thereby.

“No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God… and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulations, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven.”

Orson F. Whitney, in Spencer W. Kimball, Faith Precedes the Miracle (Salt Lake City: Deseret Book, 1972), 98.
